Key Responsibilities
- Build and ship customer-facing features into production, from initial concept and development through rollout and iteration based on customer feedback.
- Define and maintain data contracts between AI agents and the organization’s financial system of record.
- Develop feedback and evaluation loops that capture product signals and translate them into product improvements.
- Improve customer experiences through stronger signals, interfaces, and workflows.
- Run experiments involving user interfaces, prompt-driven product changes, and new review workflows.
- Analyze product and customer data to determine which approaches should be pursued.
- Engage directly with customers and reviewers to understand their needs and incorporate their feedback into product priorities.
- Collaborate closely with engineers working on AI agent design and customer-facing experiences.
- Translate ambiguous product requirements into reliable, production-ready features.
- Contribute primarily to backend development, including system design, data modeling, and API architecture.
- Build frontend experiences when the customer problem requires direct UI development.
- Help ensure the connection between AI reasoning and human workflows is reliable, intuitive, and useful.
Requirements
- Strong track record of shipping customer-facing features end-to-end across both backend and frontend systems.
- Product-oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize users, workflows, and outcomes.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and engaging directly with customers.
- Strong bias toward action and experience building products in environments where requirements are not always predefined.
- Ability to work across team boundaries and challenge decisions when the overall product experience or technical architecture requires it.
- Strong backend engineering foundation, including system design, data modeling, and API development.
- Willingness and ability to build UI experiences directly when required rather than automatically handing frontend work to another team.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across AI agent design, user experience, data architecture, and product development.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience working at an early-stage startup or on a small team with end-to-end ownership of a product area.
- Experience building products using LLMs or agentic AI systems.
- Experience developing the supporting infrastructure around AI agents, including evaluation systems, tracing, feedback loops, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Background in fintech, compliance, auditing, fraud prevention, or other domains where review workflows and traceability are important.
- Experience developing products around non-deterministic systems and designing product experiences that account for unpredictable system behavior.
- Demonstrated ability to help teams resolve complex problems spanning backend, frontend, and systems with unclear ownership.
Work Environment
This role is based in San Francisco and follows a hybrid work model combining in-office collaboration with the flexibility of working remotely.
Employees are expected to work from the office three coordinated days per week: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The organization also provides the opportunity to work fully remotely for up to four weeks per year.
