Responsibilities

• Develop an end-to-end understanding of the company’s platform and the dependencies between its core systems and integration components.
• Understand customer requirements and translate operational needs into system specifications and configuration decisions.
• Configure and maintain data mappings, reconciliation processes, and integration workflows.
• Process and integrate item files, invoices, and other retail data from POS systems, back-office applications, and ERP platforms.
• Work with structured and unstructured data in formats such as CSV, EDI, PDFs, and scanned documents.
• Support data extraction, ingestion, transformation, and pipeline tuning to ensure reliable data flow between customer systems and the platform.
• Collaborate with Operations, Product, Engineering, and customer IT teams to troubleshoot issues and improve end-to-end workflows.
• Identify opportunities to improve integration processes, operational efficiency, and system reliability.
• Help establish repeatable implementation playbooks and integration practices that support growth across additional customers and retail locations.
• Manage technical tasks independently while communicating clearly with customers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in forward deployed engineering, solutions engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role, ideally in B2B SaaS or financial technology.
• Strong backend and data engineering fundamentals, combined with the ability to work directly with customer IT teams.
• Familiarity with unstructured data, ETL processes, and machine learning or optical character recognition (OCR) pipelines.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to navigate complex, high-pressure customer environments.
• Ability to manage data extraction, ingestion, and pipeline optimization with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in SQL, regular expressions (Regex), and scripting.
• Strong attention to detail when handling data mapping, reconciliation, and integration tasks.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving customer requirements.
