About the Role

The company is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to help connect AI agents with real-world customer outcomes. The role focuses on building and improving AI-powered systems that support go-to-market teams and enhance how businesses use conversational and autonomous AI.

The position is based in San Francisco and requires working in the office five days per week. The engineer will work closely with product, design, and go-to-market teams while researching and implementing new approaches to AI agent development.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and iterate on full-stack systems that power AI agents from initial concept through deployment.
  • Research and evaluate new approaches to agent orchestration, prompting strategies, and model alignment.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Go-to-Market teams to improve user experience and usability for non-technical users.
  • Share technical learnings, document findings, and contribute to the development of internal engineering best practices.
  • Participate in peer reviews, brainstorming sessions, and technical deep dives with a global engineering team.
  • Help connect AI agent capabilities with real-world customer needs and business outcomes.
  • Continuously improve deployed systems based on customer feedback, technical findings, and live production performance.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a product-oriented software engineering role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in a startup, consulting, or customer-facing technical environment is a plus.
  • Strong programming fundamentals in TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js.
  • Familiarity with APIs, data flows, and debugging live production systems.
  • Interest or experience in AI/ML, conversational AI, voice technologies, or AI agents.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment.
  • Responsive and proactive approach to customer needs, with a bias toward action.
  • Comfortable shipping quickly, learning from live deployments, and continuously improving systems.
