Company Overview
The company is a global cybersecurity organization focused on protecting IT, OT, and ICS critical infrastructure. Its technology platform helps public and private sector organizations secure complex networks, protect devices, prevent threats, and maintain compliance. The organization serves more than 1,700 governments, enterprises, institutions, utilities, financial organizations, and defense contractors worldwide.
Responsibilities
Lead AI-first engineering practices: Make AI agents a core part of engineering workflows by using them to create specifications, generate code and tests, verify results, and support reviews while maintaining human ownership and validation of production code.
Stay hands-on: Remain actively involved in the codebase by establishing architecture patterns, reviewing critical code, prototyping solutions, and resolving complex technical challenges.
Own end-to-end roadmap delivery: Translate product requirements into engineering execution, including sequencing, technical risk management, quality, security, and releases across different deployment environments.
Set technical direction: Drive architecture and technology decisions for a product serving high-assurance environments at scale while establishing and communicating a clear engineering direction.
Build and lead high-performance teams: Recruit, develop, and retain engineers and engineering leaders across international locations while establishing strong expectations around code quality, collaboration, technical growth, and review practices.
Drive performance management: Establish measurable expectations and maintain a consistent performance culture through coaching, development, recognition, and appropriate talent decisions.
Maintain a security-first quality bar: Apply rigorous security review practices to both human-written and AI-generated code, with particular attention to injection risks, insecure defaults, validation gaps, authentication, file-handling workflows, and privilege escalation.
Improve engineering velocity: Continuously improve CI/CD, AI-assisted development workflows, incident response, testing, and operational practices to increase delivery speed and reliability.
Develop AI-native engineering practices: Create reusable playbooks, AI context files, coding harnesses, testing frameworks, and review standards that can be adopted by other engineering teams.
Partner cross-functionally: Work closely with Product Management, Design, security leadership, and executive stakeholders to translate product requirements into engineering plans, commitments, technical decisions, and delivery timelines.
Qualifications
Full agentic development experience: Demonstrated experience running a complete AI-powered software development lifecycle, particularly in B2B and high-security enterprise environments where compliance, data sensitivity, and assurance requirements are important.
AI-powered product delivery: Experience taking a product from specification through release using AI-assisted workflows covering specification, code and test generation, verification, review, and CI/CD.
Engineering leadership: 8+ years of software engineering experience and 3+ years leading engineering teams, including experience managing managers or engineering leads through complex product delivery.
Performance-based leadership: Experience building high-performing teams through clear expectations, structured performance management, professional development, and timely talent decisions.
Strong technical foundation: Deep knowledge of software engineering fundamentals, design patterns, SOLID principles, modern architecture, and the ability to evaluate AI-generated code with the same rigor applied to human-written code.
Scalable systems: Experience building scalable and distributed systems involving relational or document databases, cloud-native services, and modern CI/CD environments.
Quality and testing: Strong experience establishing standards for tested, maintainable code and ensuring that AI-generated test coverage provides meaningful validation.
Distributed-team leadership: Experience leading engineers across multiple countries and time zones while maintaining alignment, accountability, communication, and delivery quality.
