A leading automotive technology organization developing autonomous vehicle systems and advanced mobility technologies. Its engineering teams combine software engineering, data engineering, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to build platforms and tools that support autonomous driving development. The organization operates large-scale data and ML infrastructure used to generate, manage, and validate training data for autonomous vehicle models.
Responsibilities
- Define the platform vision and roadmap by working with cross-functional and cross-team leaders to understand current and future requirements and translate them into an aligned development strategy.
- Own technical projects end-to-end, from problem definition and system design through implementation, testing, and production rollout.
- Drive code reviews, technical discussions, architectural decisions, and project execution.
- Collaborate with ML Engineering, Operations, Product, Data Science, and other platform teams to translate requirements into scalable workflows, APIs, and user interfaces.
- Develop automation and tooling that provide ML engineers with visibility into data-labeling workflows and data quality, including efficiency dashboards, automated quality assurance, and autolabel review tools.
- Design and integrate ML-driven data annotation capabilities such as pre-labeling, automated labeling, and active-learning workflows.
- Build scalable, high-performance labeling experiences and services using modern full-stack and frontend technologies.
- Develop platform features that improve the speed and accuracy of labeling data for new machine learning models and autonomous vehicle deployments.
- Champion AI-assisted engineering practices, including code assistants, automated documentation, test generation, and other AI-powered development workflows.
- Help maintain and evolve systems supporting data annotation pipelines and machine-led training data solutions at large scale.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience building robust distributed platforms and applications.
- Proven experience shipping and operating end-to-end products or features in production environments.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools and workflows for areas such as agentic development, knowledge acquisition, documentation generation, operational triage, debugging, and software delivery.
- Proficiency developing and reviewing high-quality, scalable, and performant full-stack software.
- Experience with technologies and languages such as Python, TypeScript, Go, React, SQL, Redux, gRPC, GraphQL, and WebGL.
- Strong understanding of scalable software system design, including data modeling and API/interface design.
- Strong fundamentals in object-oriented design, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices.
- Experience with practices such as test-driven development (TDD), code quality management, observability, and CI/CD.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain technical trade-offs and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work through ambiguous technical and product requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
- Interest in self-driving and robotics technologies and their applications to mobility and safety.
- Ability to learn new technologies and work across frontend, backend, data, and ML-adjacent systems.
- Strong user empathy and ability to transform complex workflows into simple, intuitive tools.
- Experience working with data-labeling systems, ML platforms, autonomous vehicles, robotics, or related technologies is relevant to the role.
