Responsibilities
- Develop and manage scalable and reliable ETL/ELT processes for loading data into data warehouses.
- Monitor data infrastructure performance and troubleshoot technical issues to maintain system reliability.
- Manage and optimize the data warehouse for performance, availability, and long-term scalability.
- Maintain data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across systems.
- Develop processes for monitoring the health and reliability of the data warehouse.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Focus on solving data engineering problems using simple, maintainable, and scalable architectures.
- Continuously improve data processes and infrastructure to increase efficiency and scalability.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in data engineering.
- Document data engineering processes, system designs, and architectures.
Qualifications
- Strong ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and maintain high professional and performance standards.
- Ability to address immediate technical challenges while building a strong foundation for future scalability.
- Approximately 4 years of experience working in a fintech company or fast-growing startup environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in writing production-quality Python code.
- Experience with Go is a plus.
- Strong debugging skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Experience working with AWS.
- Ability to work independently and self-direct within broadly defined goals and objectives.
- Strong commitment to maintaining accurate, reliable, and trusted data systems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
