Company Overview

A global financial technology platform serving millions of customers worldwide through products spanning tax preparation, personal finance, accounting, and marketing technology. The company focuses on using technology, data, and artificial intelligence to help individuals, businesses, and communities improve their financial outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and size AI use cases based on business value, applying personalization and automation frameworks to guide product development.
  • Develop and manage AI evaluation frameworks, including golden datasets and LLM-as-judge calibration, to assess non-deterministic AI experiences and identify areas for improvement.
  • Create measurement strategies for emerging AI products where established benchmarks may not yet exist.
  • Define leading indicators, learning milestones, success criteria, and quality, latency, and reliability standards for AI experiences.
  • Apply causal inference and counterfactual reasoning to determine the incremental impact of AI experiences and distinguish genuine business impact from simple adoption.
  • Design and manage experiments, holdouts, and predictive models throughout their lifecycle.
  • Frame ambiguous business questions and translate analytical findings into actionable AI product strategy.
  • Generate insights and testable hypotheses that inform product roadmaps, resource allocation, and investment decisions.
  • Analyze how customers discover, adopt, use, and return to AI-powered experiences and identify the needs and use cases these experiences address.
  • Build and maintain data products supporting AI applications and analytical decision-making, collaborating with engineering teams to develop scalable data models and pipelines.
  • Develop agentic analytical systems that automate recurring analytical workflows while maintaining appropriate context, rigor, and governance.
  • Create compelling visualizations, dashboards, and presentations that communicate performance, tradeoffs, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Design, and Marketing to establish alignment around hypotheses, performance drivers, and strategic opportunities.
  • Champion best practices in experimentation, AI evaluation, measurement, and decision science.
  • Mentor data scientists and analysts and contribute to a culture of rigorous, data-informed innovation.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in data science, analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, ideally within consumer technology, financial technology, marketplaces, or SaaS.
  • Proven ability to shape business strategy and influence executive decision-making through data and analytics.
  • Experience supporting zero-to-one products, emerging business models, growth initiatives, or other highly ambiguous problem spaces.
  • Experience measuring or evaluating AI, machine learning, or personalization products.
  • Familiarity with evaluation approaches for generative and non-deterministic AI experiences, including golden datasets, LLM-as-judge, human review, and quality and latency monitoring.
  • Strong expertise in experimentation, performance measurement, customer analytics, and causal or decision-oriented analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to define success metrics and learning frameworks for initiatives without established benchmarks.
  • Strong business acumen across customer acquisition, engagement, retention, product strategy, and operations.
  • Expertise with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar tools.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency and experience using Python or R for analysis, modeling, and automation.
  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex or incomplete data into clear business narratives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and deliver results in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
  • Ability to balance analytical rigor with speed, sound judgment, and pragmatic decision-making.
