Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of web and mobile applications, including the integration of AI capabilities into cloud-based products.
- Partner with Product Management, Product Design, and Quality teams to ensure applications meet functional, visual, and technical requirements.
- Ensure applications meet non-functional requirements for performance, scalability, security, and overall quality.
- Own project management and technical direction for applications while ensuring alignment with the overall architecture and design of the web and mobile platform.
- Work closely with cloud services engineering teams to ensure seamless integration between applications and microservices.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to manage the engineering platform roadmap and guide key technology decisions related to application architecture and design.
- Mentor, manage, and develop a team of web and mobile engineers.
- Remain hands-on with coding and contribute directly to codebases when necessary.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate product requirements into technical solutions and deliverables.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in the software industry, including 2+ years of engineering management experience.
- Proven experience as a technical leader with the ability to contribute directly to production codebases when needed.
- Strong engineering project management skills, particularly in planning, execution, and delivery.
- Strong technical proficiency with React Native, Redux, and modern web and mobile development technologies.
- Experience developing customer-facing applications in a B2C environment.
- Experience partnering with Product Management and Product Design teams to translate functional requirements into technical deliverables.
- Excellent people management skills with the ability to mentor, develop, and lead engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of application architecture, cloud-based applications, microservices, scalability, and security.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
