Responsibilities

• Build and deploy machine learning models that power core products and serve millions of users.
• Apply modern machine learning techniques to solve large-scale, real-world problems.
• Own the full machine learning lifecycle, from data analysis and experimentation through production deployment.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to prototype, develop, and launch machine learning-driven features.
• Leverage AI tools to design and develop scalable services while maintaining high standards for code correctness, security, reliability, and production quality.
• Contribute to technically complex engineering projects involving machine learning and large-scale systems.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver machine learning solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers and team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another relevant technical field, or equivalent practical work experience.
• 5+ years of post-Bachelor’s experience in machine learning; or a Master’s degree in a technical field with 4+ years of post-graduate machine learning experience; or a PhD in a relevant technical field with 1+ year of post-graduate machine learning experience.
• Strong understanding of machine learning approaches, algorithms, and applications.
• Experience developing machine learning models for ranking, recommendations, search, content understanding, image generation, or other relevant applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work through open-ended and ambiguous technical challenges.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work independently.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external partners.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and mentorship abilities.
• Proficiency in, or strong aptitude for, using AI tools to improve software development while critically evaluating generated output for architectural integrity, performance, and security risks.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn and apply evolving AI systems and development tools.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Caffe2, PyTorch, Spark ML, scikit-learn, or related technologies is preferred.
• Experience with machine learning infrastructure, ranking systems, and system design is preferred.
• An advanced degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
