Company Overview

A leading marketplace platform connects people with skilled professionals who help with everyday home tasks, including furniture assembly, handyman services, moving assistance, and more. The organization operates across the United States and Europe and focuses on innovation, inclusion, collaboration, and creating meaningful opportunities for people to earn income on their own terms.

Key Responsibilities

Discover & Scope

  • Conduct structured technical discovery and translate ambiguous use cases into clearly scoped builds.
  • Evaluate whether AI is the appropriate solution for a particular business problem.

Build in Production

  • Independently design, develop, test, and deploy Claude-powered agents, automations, and internal tools.
  • Work with technologies such as Claude Code, Claude Cowork, Claude API, Claude Agent SDK, and agentic frameworks built on Claude.
  • Own the complete lifecycle of solutions from initial development through production deployment and ongoing operation.
  • Build solutions that can operate reliably with real business data and users.

Engineer for Reliability

  • Make informed engineering decisions around model selection, context management, caching, evaluation, error handling, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
  • Develop systems that prioritize reliability, security, scalability, and maintainability rather than functioning only as prototypes.
  • Forecast and manage AI-related infrastructure and model costs.
  • Account for data sensitivity and determine when information requires scoping, redaction, restricted access, or human review.

Measure Impact

  • Establish a baseline before beginning each project.
  • Define measurable success metrics such as time saved, error reduction, or increased throughput.
  • Instrument solutions to measure performance and business impact from the beginning.
  • Translate technical outcomes into meaningful business results.

Enable Business Teams

  • Train non-technical teams to identify opportunities for automation and develop lightweight solutions.
  • Build internal capabilities that reduce long-term dependency on engineering support.
  • Help business teams understand the appropriate applications and limitations of AI-powered tools.

Influence & Collaborate

  • Translate business problems into technical requirements and communicate technical tradeoffs to stakeholders.
  • Work with senior leaders and frontline teams to build understanding and adoption of AI solutions.
  • Align AI initiatives with company priorities and organizational objectives.
  • Develop reusable patterns and playbooks that can be adopted by other teams and builders.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional, hands-on experience building AI agents, automations, or internal tools using Claude.
  • Direct code-level experience with Claude Code, Claude API, Claude Skills/Agent SDK, or an agentic framework built on Claude.
  • Experience personally writing, testing, deploying, and operating production code that integrates with an LLM.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including API integration, version control, testing, debugging, and production system ownership.
  • Experience working with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of AI engineering tradeoffs involving model selection, caching, cost management, reliability, failure modes, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
  • Ability to assess data sensitivity and determine appropriate security, access, redaction, and review requirements.
  • Experience embedding with non-technical teams and translating business workflows into technical solutions.
  • Strong business judgment and the ability to determine when AI is or is not the appropriate solution.
  • Experience enabling and training other people to use or develop technology solutions.
  • Strong empathy and communication skills when working with teams that may be unfamiliar with AI technologies.
  • Ability to present technical concepts and influence both senior leaders and frontline teams.
  • Data-driven approach to defining baselines, measuring outcomes, and communicating business impact.
  • Self-directed and resourceful builder who can operate effectively without dedicated engineering support.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and resource-constrained environment.
