Company Overview

A specialized technology and talent organization works with leading startups, scale-ups, and enterprise technology companies to connect highly skilled engineering professionals with opportunities in Software, Data, and AI-driven domains. Its clients include organizations developing advanced applied intelligence, model optimization, and productized AI workflows.

The client organization is a fast-growing technology company that embeds engineering talent directly into customer environments to solve high-impact operational and data challenges. The company helps enterprises rapidly build and scale mission-critical applications that generate measurable business outcomes.

The organization is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to work directly with customers and solve complex operational and data challenges. This role combines software engineering, data engineering, and customer-facing technical problem-solving to design and deploy high-impact applications.

The successful candidate will work closely with executives, operators, and technical stakeholders to transform enterprise data into operational workflows and production-ready applications. The role requires an individual who can move quickly, build systems from the ground up, take ownership of projects, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with customer stakeholders to understand critical business objectives and translate them into high-impact technical solutions.
  • Architect, develop, and maintain applications that operationalize enterprise data and drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Build end-to-end workflows using large structured and unstructured datasets in production environments.
  • Rapidly iterate and develop systems from scratch to help customers modernize their operations.
  • Collaborate directly with executives, operators, and cross-functional teams to deploy tools that improve business processes.
  • Own projects autonomously, taking full responsibility for delivery, implementation, and long-term success.
  • Embed with customer teams when needed, providing technical expertise and on-the-ground implementation support.
  • Travel to customer sites as required, typically 10–33% depending on project requirements.
  • Work in hybrid or on-site environments at company offices and customer locations during key deployment phases.
  • Translate complex technical and business requirements into practical, production-ready solutions.
  • Build and maintain applications that directly influence customer operations and business outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 1–5 years of experience as a full-stack engineer, data engineer, or Forward Deployed Engineer.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex challenges and deliver practical solutions.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
  • Demonstrated experience building applications that leverage large datasets in real-world production environments.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable outcomes through software engineering, data science, or technical analytics.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes from development through deployment.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10–33% for customer implementations.
  • Enthusiasm for working in hybrid, in-person, and customer-facing environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Palantir Foundry and/or AIP.
  • Experience delivering production machine learning or LLM-based solutions.
  • Experience building production React frontend applications.
  • Familiarity with Spark, distributed computing, or large-scale data processing frameworks.
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers on technical implementations.
  • Experience developing data-driven applications and operational workflows.

Work Environment

This is a full-time hybrid position with customer-facing responsibilities. Travel to customer locations is expected approximately 10–33% of the time, depending on project requirements. The role may involve working from company offices and customer sites during important implementation and deployment phases.
