Key Responsibilities
- Build production AI solutions using AI frameworks, SDKs, and cloud infrastructure, including conversational interfaces, production agents, MCP servers, and agentic workflows.
- Lead complex frontend migrations, modernizing legacy React, Vue, and other frameworks to Next.js, including Pages Router to App Router transitions and large-scale codebase transformations.
- Automate migration processes to improve engineering efficiency and scalability.
- Conduct code audits and analyze customer codebases to identify performance bottlenecks, architectural issues, and optimization opportunities.
- Develop actionable technical roadmaps that deliver measurable improvements in website performance and application architecture.
- Architect and implement high-performance Next.js applications using App Router, Server Components, streaming, ISR, and advanced rendering strategies.
- Work directly alongside strategic customers to build production applications within their existing systems and technical constraints.
- Write and deploy production-ready TypeScript code that meets enterprise requirements.
- Lead workshops, pair programming sessions, and documentation initiatives to enable customer teams to independently maintain and extend solutions.
- Build relationships with engineering, product, and executive stakeholders while translating technical capabilities into measurable business outcomes.
- Identify repeatable implementation patterns, develop reusable components, and share technical insights with Product and Engineering teams.
- Support the continued evolution of professional services by identifying opportunities to improve customer implementation strategies and delivery processes.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 2 years in a customer-facing technical role such as consulting, solutions architecture, forward-deployed engineering, or technical founder experience.
- Experience using AI instrumentation, including harnesses, skills, and MCPs, to build and deploy web applications, backend systems, and/or agentic workflows.
- Strong ability to work independently and navigate ambiguous and complex technical environments.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to conduct technical discovery, present to executives, mentor engineers, and develop long-term customer relationships.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand customer objectives, translate technical capabilities into ROI, and identify opportunities for continued engagement.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites for embedded engineering work and relationship building.
