A leading global technology company is seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer, Energy Software to join its Energy Device Core Software team. The organization develops innovative energy products and solutions, focusing on firmware metrics, analytics, and data-driven insights that support industrial, residential, and charging technologies. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to mission-critical systems that accelerate the global transition toward sustainable energy.

The organization is seeking a Data Engineer, Energy Software to develop and maintain scalable data infrastructure supporting firmware analytics across energy products. The successful candidate will work closely with software development, service, and data engineering teams to design, build, and optimize systems that collect, process, and analyze firmware metrics. This position plays a key role in delivering reliable analytics and enabling data-driven decision-making for product development and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines, from data ingestion through visualization, to support firmware rollouts across energy products.
  • Define, develop, and maintain metrics that measure the success and performance of firmware deployments.
  • Build automation tools, internal libraries, and developer utilities that improve data analysis and visualization workflows.
  • Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Streamlit and other data visualization platforms.
  • Collaborate with engineering and service teams to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of new datasets.
  • Develop scalable solutions that support firmware analytics for industrial, residential, and charging products.
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and accessibility across analytics platforms.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing, automation, and query optimization in production environments.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Streamlit, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of the complete data lifecycle, including data sourcing, ingestion, transformation, analytics, and visualization.
  • Experience with data processing frameworks such as Spark, Airflow, or equivalent technologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field, or equivalent practical experience demonstrating exceptional technical ability.
