Company Overview

A leading global technology company is committed to building a business grounded in integrity, innovation, and responsible technology. Its Financial Risk Management (FRM) Advisory team plays a critical role in ensuring financial reporting remains accurate, trustworthy, and compliant with applicable regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with engineering and FRM Compliance Technology teams to design, build, and maintain reusable control frameworks and scaffolds for AI use cases affecting financial reporting.
  • Translate governance requirements into implementable technical specifications that engineering teams can deploy and scale across the organization.
  • Serve as the FRM point of contact for evaluating new AI implementations within Finance and CAO.
  • Assess internal control over financial reporting (ICFR) risk exposure and determine whether existing controls are sufficient or whether new controls are required.
  • Document AI use case evaluations in a repeatable, audit-ready format that supports internal and external review.
  • Design and operationalize controls addressing AI-specific risks, including model drift, hallucinations, data quality degradation, and human-in-the-loop failures.
  • Define control objectives, evidence requirements, and testing plans for newly developed AI controls.
  • Create durable governance documentation that can be audited, replicated, and maintained over time.
  • Work closely with FinTech and compliance technology teams throughout the AI development lifecycle, from product design through deployment and ongoing operations.
  • Identify control requirements early in the development process to reduce costly retrofits and implementation delays.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to implement controls that satisfy audit standards without creating unnecessary engineering friction.
  • Support FRM leadership in engaging Finance and CAO stakeholders on AI governance matters.
  • Build strong working relationships with accounting policy, financial reporting, and operations control owners.
  • Explain governance requirements in practical terms to non-technical stakeholders and help control owners understand their responsibilities.
  • Execute risk assessments and diagnostics for active AI use cases within the ICFR scope.
  • Design and implement monitoring mechanisms that provide ongoing visibility into control effectiveness as AI systems evolve.
  • Escalate emerging risks to FRM leadership in a timely and well-documented manner.
  • Identify, document, and track control deficiencies within the AI control environment.
  • Investigate root causes and partner with FinTech and business stakeholders to develop appropriate remediation plans.
  • Monitor corrective actions through successful completion.
  • Maintain the AI controls inventory and prepare status updates and workpaper documentation for FRM leadership and external audit requests.
  • Track progress against the AI Governance program roadmap.
  • Help coordinate the prioritization and scheduling of AI use case evaluations and control scaffold development.
  • Monitor emerging AI-specific regulatory and audit guidance.
  • Translate regulatory developments into actionable program updates, control standard revisions, and stakeholder communications.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in IT audit, internal audit, or public accounting.
  • Demonstrated exposure to AI/ML systems, automation platforms, and technology governance frameworks.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional programs or project workstreams.
  • Experience working directly with AI/ML systems, large language models (LLMs), or AI-powered tools through audit, testing, governance, or implementation activities.
