Company Overview
A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced cloud engineering professional to oversee and enhance its cloud infrastructure and services. The organization supports modern technology initiatives involving cloud-native applications, Generative AI, machine learning, data engineering, Databricks environments, and DevOps frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud to support modern applications and AI/ML workloads.
- Develop solution architectures and business cases for emerging technology initiatives, including Generative AI solutions.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to improve data pipelines and maintain Databricks environments.
- Present and defend technical solutions, approaches, timelines, and critical project considerations to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Enable and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices using technologies such as Terraform, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
- Provide technical support to internal teams and promptly resolve cloud infrastructure and service-related issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to reduce recurring technical issues.
- Monitor cloud services to ensure efficient, reliable, and secure operations.
- Implement performance tuning and optimization strategies to improve cloud performance and manage costs.
- Ensure cloud environments comply with organizational security policies and applicable compliance requirements.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, encryption, identity management, and access controls.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline cloud operations and reduce manual intervention.
- Support the deployment and lifecycle management of Generative AI models and machine learning workflows.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation covering cloud configurations, procedures, policies, and operational standards.
- Generate reports related to cloud usage, performance, security, and operational health.
- Independently lead projects and engage senior management, including department leaders and executives, on technical initiatives and outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Management, Business Analytics, Business Administration, or a directly related field from an accredited college or university.
- At least 7 years of progressively responsible and directly related professional experience.
- 10 years of progressively responsible and directly related experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in major cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of cloud service models, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Experience supporting modern applications, Generative AI models, and machine learning workflows.
- Strong understanding of cloud security architecture, data protection, identity management, and compliance requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud networking architecture, including virtual networks, firewalls, load balancing, and DNS.
- Strong understanding of automation technologies, containerization, and DevOps practices, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong technical expertise in cloud infrastructure deployment, configuration, maintenance, and management.
- Ability to monitor cloud environments and optimize performance, reliability, and cost.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues.
- Experience implementing security controls such as firewalls, encryption, and access management.
- Ability to maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to adapt to emerging technologies and continuously develop cloud computing expertise.
- Experience managing cloud projects from planning through execution and monitoring.
- Strong awareness of cloud security best practices and their practical implementation.
