The organization is seeking an Engineering Lead to drive the strategy, execution, and growth of its AI context platform. The role combines technical leadership, people management, hands-on engineering, and talent development to build innovative systems at the intersection of data, AI agents, and SaaS platforms.

The context platform is central to the organization’s vision of creating systems that improve through usage. The team is developing a new development lifecycle for AI context that combines human insight with automated learning and continuous iteration.

The successful candidate will help address foundational challenges in AI agent behavior, including detecting and debugging reasoning failures, structuring and managing business context, balancing human-in-the-loop systems with autonomous improvement, and integrating context systems with the broader ecosystem of AI-powered tools and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team responsible for developing and improving the organization’s AI context platform.
• Define and drive technical strategy for the team and its products.
• Review technical designs and architectural decisions.
• Contribute directly to hands-on engineering efforts when required.
• Serve as a people manager for engineers on the team.
• Establish high technical and engineering standards.
• Empower engineers to perform at their highest level.
• Recruit and attract exceptional engineering talent.
• Develop and maintain a high-performing product engineering team.
• Guide the team through complex technical challenges involving data-intensive and AI-driven systems.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer.
• 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
• Experience working on complex, data-intensive, AI-driven products, or SaaS platforms.
• Exceptional ability to identify and design effective technical abstractions that support ambitious and evolving product visions.
• Strong curiosity about and intuition for state-of-the-art AI agent behavior and context systems.
• Proven experience managing and developing engineering teams.
• Strong technical leadership capabilities with the ability to make sound architectural and engineering decisions.
• Ability to remain hands-on and contribute directly to engineering work when necessary.

• Experience building and operating product engineering teams.
• Demonstrated ability to establish clear technical standards and engineering practices.
• Experience recruiting, developing, and retaining high-quality engineering talent.
• A proven approach to creating environments where exceptional engineers can perform at their best.
• Strong understanding of AI agents, context systems, and emerging AI-powered development workflows.
• Experience balancing human-in-the-loop systems with autonomous learning and improvement.
• Ability to navigate rapidly evolving AI technologies and translate emerging capabilities into practical product solutions.
