A leading global professional services organization is seeking a Responsible AI Specialist to support organizations in addressing the opportunities and risks associated with artificial intelligence. The organization’s Responsible AI practice helps clients design, build, and deploy AI systems in ways that promote trust and align with applicable laws, regulations, standards, and ethical principles.
The team develops Responsible AI solutions and intellectual property, collaborates with ecosystem partners, engages with regulators and policymakers, conducts research with academic institutions, and provides training and resources to organizations seeking to strengthen their responsible AI capabilities.
The organization is seeking a Responsible AI Specialist with a strong understanding of AI policy, standards, and regulations. The successful candidate will help clients establish Responsible AI principles, policies, operating models, governance structures, and controls. The role requires an individual who can work across industries, advise clients on emerging AI requirements, and contribute to the development of AI standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with prospective clients to support the development and sale of Responsible AI projects.
- Shape and lead client engagements focused on Responsible and Ethical AI.
- Advise clients on AI policy, standards, regulatory requirements, operating models, governance structures, and controls.
- Serve as a Responsible AI subject matter expert within data science and data transformation teams.
- Support client sales conversations, proposals, and business development activities.
- Deliver and manage Responsible AI projects and related workstreams.
- Communicate recommendations and provide guidance to senior leadership and client teams.
- Assess the latest developments in data and AI policy, standards, and regulation.
- Create and maintain an overview of key developments in AI regulation.
- Engage with stakeholders across the policy and regulatory ecosystem.
- Present and communicate perspectives on Responsible AI to clients and other key stakeholders.
- Lead project workstreams through successful completion.
- Manage resources effectively within a matrix organization.
- Travel as required based on business needs and client requirements, with travel potentially ranging from 0% to 100%.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in management consulting.
- Consulting experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Government or legislative development bodies.
- Regulatory or standards organizations.
- Designing and implementing operating models, risk management controls, governance structures, or controls.
- Multilateral collaborative groups.
- Corporate teams focused on Responsible AI.
- Academic work involving both the theory and practical application of Responsible AI.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience working with Data and AI regulation.
- Experience with government, legislative, regulatory, standards, or multilateral organizations related to AI policy and regulation.
- Exposure to data science strategy, machine learning, and business analytics for solving business problems.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 12 years of work experience where applicable.
- Associate’s degree candidates should have a minimum of 6 years of work experience.
Priority Skills and Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of Data and AI regulations, compliance, and standards.
- Responsible AI expertise.
- Understanding of Generative AI risks, controls, and mitigation strategies.
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities.
- Risk assessment experience.
- Project management skills for manager-level responsibilities.
- Consulting expertise in designing and implementing operating models, governance structures, and controls.
Preferred Qualifications
- Published academic papers, white papers, or thought leadership related to Responsible AI, Ethical AI, or closely related fields.
- Legal experience, particularly in Responsible AI legal or compliance advisory.
- Demonstrated ability to lead project workstreams through completion.
- Experience managing resources within a matrix organization.
