The organization is seeking a Senior Data Scientist, Gen AI Foundation to support back-end product development and build the next generation of agentic infrastructure. This role will focus on developing extensible multi-agent systems, establishing robust governance, and transforming traditional services into advanced agentic components.
The successful candidate will serve as a key technical influencer in Generative AI infrastructure, security, and observability. The position requires strong collaboration across global teams to develop innovative AI solutions capable of addressing complex healthcare challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build extensible multi-agent infrastructure and foundational systems that transform traditional services into high-performing agentic components.
- Establish robust governance frameworks for AI agents and data sources while ensuring infrastructure meets stringent security, observability, and compliance requirements.
- Stay at the forefront of Generative AI infrastructure and security technologies and proactively evaluate emerging solutions.
- Influence technical decisions and priorities while balancing business objectives with the scalability, reliability, and performance requirements of AI systems.
- Partner with cross-functional business units and global stakeholders to integrate agentic solutions into broader digital strategies.
- Foster a unified, data-driven ecosystem through collaboration across technology, analytics, and business teams.
- Mentor peers and stakeholders to strengthen organizational AI capabilities and promote an AI-savvy culture.
- Encourage psychological safety, collaboration, continuous learning, and iterative innovation across technical teams.
- Identify and communicate systemic technical issues to leadership.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable laws, regulations, security requirements, and corporate policies.
- Optimize agentic systems by balancing infrastructure cost, reliability, performance, and latency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Expert-level knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and document optimization techniques, including chunking.
- Strong proficiency with vector databases, graph databases, SQL, and AI-generated SQL techniques.
- Hands-on experience with large language model frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, and AWS AgentCore.
- Strong knowledge of Generative AI tools and agentic protocols, including MCP and A2A.
- Experience developing multimodal AI architectures.
- Proven ability to transform traditional machine learning models and API services into agentic, MCP-compliant tools.
- Strong expertise in observability technologies for agentic systems.
- Experience optimizing AI systems across cost, reliability, and latency considerations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building infrastructure for Generative AI products in B2B environments.
- Experience working with multimodal Generative AI tools, particularly voice-based interfaces.
- Experience with common security protocols and practices.
- Experience working within healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated industries.
