The organization is seeking a Manager, Machine Learning Engineering – Video AI & Studio AI to lead a team of machine learning engineers developing next-generation AI systems for video understanding and creative studio applications. The role will provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on across modeling, prototyping, production systems, and the full machine learning lifecycle.

The role focuses on combining computer vision, multimodal learning, and machine learning to develop capabilities such as scene understanding, metadata generation, visual effects, storyboarding, and color enhancement across media content.

The successful candidate will help take machine learning solutions from research into production, integrating models into real-world systems used by engineering, product, and creative teams. The position requires a balance of rapid experimentation and the development of reliable, scalable, production-grade systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of machine learning engineers working on video AI across video understanding and creative applications.
• Remain hands-on by contributing directly to machine learning modeling, prototyping, and production systems.
• Drive execution across the complete machine learning lifecycle, including problem definition, modeling, evaluation, and deployment.
• Partner with product, creative, and engineering teams to establish priorities and deliver impactful machine learning-powered features.
• Build and scale production-grade machine learning systems for video understanding and creative workflows.
• Balance rapid iteration and experimentation with the development of robust and scalable systems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship while raising the standard for machine learning and engineering practices.
• Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and production-ready solutions.
• Guide technical strategy and architecture for AI systems supporting video and studio workflows.
• Help translate emerging machine learning and Generative AI capabilities into practical production applications.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in machine learning and/or software engineering, with a focus on computer vision, video understanding, and Generative AI.
• 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring engineers, with strong hands-on leadership experience.
• Strong experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Proven track record of building and deploying end-to-end machine learning systems in production.
• Strong background in computer vision, video understanding, or multimodal systems.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed systems.
• Experience with Generative AI techniques, including diffusion models and image or video generation.
• Strong system design and software architecture skills.
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and fast-moving environments while maintaining strong execution.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills across technical, product, and creative teams.
