A leading global professional services organization is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect, Manager – Tax Transformation to join its Tax Transformation technology team. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business challenges, evaluate technical feasibility, prioritize requirements, and develop application architecture strategies.
  • Design, deliver, and continuously improve enterprise architecture solutions that meet resiliency, scalability, and performance standards.
  • Define high-level software architecture, frameworks, protocols, design patterns, and technical standards.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership during the implementation of complex business logic and enterprise applications.
  • Participate in planning and executing software development projects while ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily SCRUM meetings, sprint planning, and task updates.
  • Implement security best practices to protect enterprise applications and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Establish development standards, architectural guidelines, and engineering metrics to maximize business value.
  • Ensure application performance, responsiveness, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate across delivery teams and external vendors to maintain engineering quality standards.
  • Proactively identify, mitigate, and escalate product and technical risks.
  • Partner with DevOps teams to support continuous integration, deployment, and operational excellence.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor engineering teams on best coding practices, tools, and emerging technologies.
  • Develop and maintain technical architecture documentation and design artifacts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to work within a hybrid work model requiring in-person collaboration two to three days per week.
  • 5+ years of experience in software architecture design and implementation.
  • Strong hands-on experience with C#, SQL Server, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and Microservices Architecture.
  • Experience developing applications using .NET Core, ASP.NET Core Web API, SQL, NoSQL, REST APIs, Azure, Design Patterns, and Agile methodologies.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing Azure cloud solutions.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% based on project and client requirements.
  • Eligibility for limited immigration sponsorship where applicable.
  • One or more relevant professional certifications or active credentials, such as:
    • Licensed CPA (where eligible)
    • Licensed Attorney
    • Enrolled Agent
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
    • CISSP
    • CRISC
    • Microsoft Azure Certifications
    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD)
    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
    • Certified SAFe® certifications
    • Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP)
    • Open Group Certified Architect (Open CA)
    • Professional Scrum Developer™ (PSD)
    • Other equivalent enterprise architecture or software development certifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Experience building distributed computing solutions.
  • Knowledge of Angular, MongoDB, NPM, and Azure DevOps Build/Release pipelines.
  • Proficiency in C#, Java, Python, or similar programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized applications.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with serverless computing and event-driven architectures.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and application security.
  • Experience working within Agile software development environments.
  • Expertise in backend performance tuning and optimization.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and big data technologies is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
