The organization is seeking a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer, Palantir to lead engineering teams delivering enterprise-scale Generative AI solutions for strategic clients. This role combines technical leadership, client engagement, solution architecture, and hands-on engineering to drive successful AI transformations from prototype through production deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement

• Serve as the senior client-facing engineering leader, building trusted advisor relationships with product, data, and platform stakeholders.
• Lead executive-level discovery sessions and define success metrics related to quality, latency, cost, adoption, and risk.
• Develop phased delivery plans that guide projects from proof of concept to production deployment and scaling.
• Align executive sponsors, IT leaders, and business stakeholders around strategic AI initiatives.
• Participate in client pursuits, executive briefings, and strategic platform partner engagements.

Cross-Functional Pod Leadership & Program Governance

• Lead engineering pods consisting of onshore and offshore team members.
• Oversee execution, resource planning, escalations, and overall project delivery health.
• Establish and maintain delivery standards, sprint cadences, stakeholder communication plans, and quality controls.
• Coordinate complex multi-workstream engagements while ensuring architectural consistency and delivery excellence.
• Mentor and develop engineers across the organization.

Engineering & Data Foundations

• Review and contribute to production-quality codebases.
• Guide the architecture and development of data pipelines supporting AI and analytics workloads.
• Promote best practices for testing, CI/CD, logging, version control, monitoring, and documentation.
• Support deployment and optimization within cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Ensure adherence to security, privacy, and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, data science, analytics engineering, or related disciplines.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying Generative AI or LLM-powered solutions in production environments.
• 1+ years of experience working with Palantir platforms, including Foundry, AIP, or Maven.
• 1+ years of experience leading project workstreams and translating business requirements into AI-driven solutions.
• 1+ years of experience developing reliable, maintainable, and well-documented software.
• Ability to travel up to 50% based on client and project requirements.
• Eligibility to work in the designated region; limited sponsorship opportunities may be available.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
• Proven ability to collaborate directly with client engineering teams and program stakeholders in fast-paced environments.
• Background in data engineering technologies such as Spark, Airflow, dbt, streaming platforms, and data modeling.
• Experience with machine learning, experimentation, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
• Knowledge of MLOps and LLMOps practices, including model monitoring, prompt management, and evaluation frameworks.
• Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise systems through APIs, microservices, or event-driven architectures.
• Experience working within hybrid onshore/offshore delivery models.
• Familiarity with enterprise security, privacy, compliance, and governance requirements.
