Summary
The Manager, Data Science – GenAI Digital Assistant, will lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced Generative AI solutions for conversational platforms. The role involves conducting cutting-edge research, fine-tuning LLMs for domain-specific applications, optimizing inference workflows, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate AI/ML innovations into scalable, impactful products.

Responsibilities

• Lead research, development, and deployment of GenAI-powered digital assistant applications
• Fine-tune Large Language Models (LLMs) for domain-specific conversational tasks, multi-agent workflows, and inference optimization
• Partner with data scientists, software engineers, machine learning engineers, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products
• Utilize technologies including Python, AWS, PySpark, LangChain, LangGraph, HuggingFace Transformers, vLLM, VectorDBs, and related AI/ML tools
• Drive NLP innovation, model training, evaluation, and integration into production systems
• Translate complex AI/ML research into actionable business outcomes to enhance customer experience
• Mentor teams, promote best practices in AI/ML development, and guide strategic AI initiatives

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field plus 6 years of data analytics experience, or
• Master’s degree in a quantitative field or MBA with quantitative concentration plus 4 years of data analytics experience, or
• PhD in a quantitative field plus 1 year of data analytics experience
• At least 1 year of experience with open-source programming languages for large-scale data analysis
• At least 1 year of experience working with machine learning
• At least 1 year of experience utilizing relational databases

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Engineering with prior research/publication experience
• At least 3 years of specialized experience in GenAI application development
• Experience in LLM model training, evaluation, inference optimization, and GPU cluster parallelization
• Experience with AWS or equivalent GPU clusters
• Proficiency in PyTorch or TensorFlow
