Overview
As a Principal Associate, Data Scientist, you will be part of a team driving the next wave of AI innovation. You will operate on massive datasets, develop advanced machine learning models, and deliver insights that improve business outcomes for customers. This role combines technical expertise, creativity, and collaboration to shape the future of AI-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams of data scientists, engineers, and product managers to deliver impactful products
  • Utilize a broad technology stack including Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, and more to extract insights from large numeric and textual datasets
  • Build machine learning models through all stages: design, training, evaluation, validation, and deployment
  • Translate complex analytical concepts into actionable business outcomes
  • Rapidly iterate with researchers and engineers to refine product experience while contributing to platform foundations
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity, competing priorities, and deadlines

Ideal Candidate

  • Creative: Excels at defining solutions to large, undefined problems and proposing innovative ideas
  • Technical: Skilled in open-source languages and cloud computing platforms; hands-on experience developing data science solutions
  • Statistically-minded: Experienced with model building, validation, backtesting, clustering, classification, sentiment analysis, time series, and deep learning
  • Data Guru: Comfortable handling “big data,” integrating and analyzing diverse datasets, and uncovering insights to drive data science outcomes

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related) with 5 years of data analytics experience, or
  • Master’s Degree in a quantitative field, or MBA with quantitative concentration plus 3 years of experience, or PhD in a quantitative field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in STEM with 3 years of experience in data analytics, or PhD in STEM field
  • At least 1 year of experience with AWS
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with Python and SQL
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) for large-scale neural network training and deployment
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Natural Language Processing, Information Retrieval, Search, Recommendations, and fine-tuning LLMs for specific applications
