Company Overview
A leading technology-driven logistics and delivery company is seeking skilled Data Scientists and Senior Data Scientists to join their Analytics team. The team drives strategic and tactical decision-making across the organization by analyzing large datasets, uncovering insights, and providing actionable recommendations to support business growth, marketplace efficiency, and operational excellence.

About the Role
As a Data Scientist, you will leverage your quantitative expertise to mentor colleagues, analyze complex datasets, and guide decision-making across multiple business functions. You will work on challenges such as customer acquisition, fraud prevention, marketing optimization, supply-demand balancing, city launches, and overall marketplace efficiency. This role combines analytical rigor with strategic thinking to influence business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quantitative analyses to identify trends, patterns, and business drivers
  • Build full-cycle analytics experiments, reports, and dashboards using SQL, R, Python, or other scripting/statistical tools
  • Mentor junior analysts in applying advanced methods and solving complex challenges
  • Produce actionable recommendations using statistical techniques and hypothesis testing
  • Provide insights to help leaders understand marketplace dynamics, user behavior, and long-term trends
  • Identify and measure levers that drive essential metrics, offering data-driven recommendations
  • Work backwards from problem definition to solution ideation
  • Create executive-facing dashboards to report on key performance indicators
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement, document, validate, and monitor data logging

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or a similar role
  • Experience with funnel optimization, user segmentation, cohort analyses, time series analysis, and regression modeling
  • Proficiency in SQL queries, ETL processes, A/B testing, and statistical analysis using tools such as Python, R, SAS, or Matlab
  • Experience with analytics and visualization platforms (e.g., Chartio, Looker, Tableau)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to approach ambiguous challenges with structured, data-driven solutions
  • Excellent communication skills for sharing insights with technical and non-technical stakeholders
