A global professional services organization is seeking a Lead AI and Data Solutions Engineer II to drive innovation and deliver enterprise-grade AI and data solutions. The organization partners with government, public services, and commercial clients to transform operations, design scalable data platforms, and implement advanced AI products, helping clients achieve measurable impact and accelerate growth through technology.

Position Summary
The Lead AI and Data Solutions Engineer II will design, develop, and deliver AI and data solutions that align technology outcomes with business needs. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and collaboration across stakeholders to build impactful data platforms, machine learning models, and AI-enabled products that drive client success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of data and AI solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements
  • Define architecture patterns, engineering standards, and delivery approaches for data platforms, AI solutions, and application integrations
  • Oversee the build of data pipelines, APIs, cloud-based services, and AI-enabled products across the solution lifecycle
  • Collaborate with business, product, engineering, and delivery teams to translate requirements into actionable implementation plans
  • Lead project teams, review technical deliverables, and manage execution across timelines, dependencies, and risks
  • Mentor and guide team members while maintaining quality and adherence to best practices
  • Manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring successful delivery

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or Physics
  • 8+ years of experience designing and delivering data platforms, analytics solutions, or AI solutions
  • 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams, technical workstreams, or technology implementations
  • 4+ years of experience with Python, SQL, and at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • 4+ years of experience building data pipelines, APIs, and machine learning or generative AI solutions in production
  • Ability to travel 10–25% on average
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Statistics
  • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Apache Spark, or Kubernetes
  • Experience with large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, or MLOps tooling
  • Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and containerized deployments
  • Experience serving clients in financial services, healthcare, consumer, or government sectors
  • Industry certifications in AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, or Snowflake
