Position Summary
The Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) collaborates with clients to design, prototype, and deploy high-impact GenAI-enabled solutions. This role combines product development, engineering, and client engagement, placing the engineer at the forefront of enterprise AI transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

Client Engagement

• Embed with client teams to identify business needs and translate them into actionable GenAI solutions
• Partner with product owners, architects, and engineers to align priorities and delivery
• Lead working sessions to define solutions and drive client outcomes
• Prototype and deliver AI-enabled solutions using emerging technologies and industry expertise
• Mentor junior FDEs and support client teams on platform capabilities and AI adoption
• Contribute to proposals, demos, orals, and knowledge transfer to ensure smooth engagement execution

Solution Engineering

• Build AI solutions, agentic platforms, and enterprise workflows
• Develop scalable AI engineering patterns, tools, and human-in-the-loop processes
• Apply architecture principles balancing quality, safety, latency, cost, and model risk
• Deliver production-quality code with strong practices in testing, CI/CD, logging, versioning, and documentation
• Contribute reusable assets including code libraries, prompts, runbooks, and reference implementations

Team Environment

• Collaborate with the AI & Engineering team to build, deploy, and operate sector-specific software and data solutions
• Transform client engineering teams and modernize technology and data platforms using leading-edge capabilities
• Tailor delivery models to meet client-specific requirements and operational contexts

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, data science, or analytics engineering
• 1+ years hands-on experience building and deploying GenAI/LLM-powered solutions in production or client environments
• 1+ years experience with Microsoft AI & Data, including Azure AI Foundry
• 1+ years leading project workstreams and translating business problems into AI solutions
• 1+ years building reliable, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Willingness to travel up to 50% based on client engagements
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and platform services (compute, storage, IAM, networking)
• Ability to work directly with client technical teams and stakeholders in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
• Data engineering experience with Spark, Airflow/dbt, streaming, or data modeling
• MLOps/LLMOps experience: evaluation frameworks, monitoring, prompt management
• Experience integrating LLM solutions with enterprise systems via APIs, microservices, or event-driven architectures
• Experience in hybrid onshore/offshore teams
• Familiarity with security, privacy, and compliance considerations
