A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Data Science professional to support financial and operational analytics within its group finance function. The organization drives value-driven analytics across clinical, operational, and financial domains, helping internal stakeholders make data-informed decisions to improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and financial performance.

Summary
The Associate Principal/Senior/Analyst in Data Science will lead the development of advanced analytics techniques, deliver end-to-end data science projects, and provide actionable insights for financial, clinical, and operational decision-making. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and active participation in research initiatives, contributing to a data-driven culture across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Champion development of new data science techniques, methodologies, and delivery of analytics projects from planning to prototyping, testing, implementation, and publication
  • Identify and develop core data science components for project delivery
  • Construct dedicated databases and computing environments
  • Explore, analyze, and visualize complex datasets to generate actionable business insights
  • Support the Value Driven Analytics Research (VADAR) initiative by providing technical expertise for researchers’ data needs, RFPs, and related commercial activities
  • Execute data analytics projects commissioned by internal institutions and provide recommendations based on clinical, operational, and financial analysis
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across value/bundle care, population health, clinical quality, and finance offices
  • For Senior Analyst positions, guide and mentor lower-level team members and influence key stakeholders to foster a data-driven approach
  • Undertake additional projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science/Engineering, Business Analytics, or other quantitative disciplines
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Advanced theoretical understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, and simulation models
  • Proficiency in coding with tools such as R, Python, or SQL
  • Familiarity with MATLAB, SPSS, and STATA
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
