Summary
The Data System Analyst will support equipment management, laboratory automation, and enterprise digital systems to ensure compliance with GMP standards. This role combines technical expertise in data management systems, software administration, and digital workflows with strong collaboration across operations, quality, and IT teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as site administrator for Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems and commonly used laboratory equipment software
  • Program, maintain, and troubleshoot data storage, archival, and restore functions; collaborate with IS and external vendors to resolve issues
  • Support implementation of connected systems and automated data capture including electronic signatures, digital audit trails, and automated notifications in accordance with GxP requirements
  • Develop, configure, and implement computer-based system applications in collaboration with IS, Digital, and external vendors
  • Provide local IT support for lab infrastructure and equipment software applications
  • Author SOPs and training materials related to data management and digital workflows
  • Prepare User Requirement Specifications (URS), impact assessments, audit trails, deviations, change controls, and risk analyses for new or modified equipment/software
  • Support Computer System Validation (CSV) activities and collaborate with Quality Assurance to uphold data integrity standards and ensure audit readiness
  • Facilitate training and drive adoption of new digital tools across the team
  • Evaluate emerging tools and best practices relevant to analytical laboratory operations and support change management activities

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Data Management, Laboratory Informatics, Information Systems/IT or related field with >2 years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree with >4 years of experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a cGMP environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience with laboratory data management systems (ECM or equivalent)
  • Preferred: Experience with Biovia automated laboratory workflows or equivalent, familiarity with CSV principles and FDA 21 CFR Part 11, knowledge of data integrity requirements in GMP environments
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively
