Their technology drives billions of daily transactions, and they focus on improving engineering productivity, platform capabilities, and AI-enabled development workflows.

Summary

This role focuses on AI-enabled development, developer productivity, and reusable engineering capabilities, helping teams deliver faster and with higher confidence.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain shared developer tooling and platform capabilities that improve productivity across engineering teams
  • Collaborate with SRE and engineering teams to deliver reusable solutions for service scaffolding, local development workflows, CI/CD patterns, automation, and release tooling
  • Evaluate, integrate, and operationalize AI tools and workflows (e.g., Cursor, Claude, Codex) to enhance software development, code quality, knowledge access, and delivery speed
  • Identify and implement high-value AI use cases, including code generation, code review assistance, documentation, migration support, and internal developer assistants
  • Build shared libraries, utilities, reference implementations, and templates to reduce duplicated effort and enforce engineering standards
  • Partner with teams to understand friction points and translate them into scalable solutions with high-quality documentation, examples, migration guides, and adoption playbooks
  • Ensure DX-owned tooling and components are reliable, secure, observable, and well-supported
  • Measure impact using data on adoption, reliability, performance, and engineering satisfaction; continuously improve solutions based on feedback and operational signals

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Java and Python, with clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Hands-on experience building developer tooling, internal platforms, shared libraries, automation, or productivity-focused solutions
  • Practical experience with modern AI providers, models, and APIs (e.g., Cursor, Claude, Codex), with a record of translating AI into engineering outcomes
  • Solid software design and systems thinking skills, balancing flexibility, standardization, usability, and maintainability
  • Experience with CI/CD systems, build tooling, developer workflows, and release automation
  • Familiarity with observability practices, including logs, metrics, tracing, and operational readiness
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with experience influencing teams through clarity and technical credibility
