Summary
The Staff/Senior Risk & Fraud Data Scientist will focus on developing machine learning solutions to address complex risk challenges in international payments. This role combines advanced ML expertise, risk management knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration to build industry-leading systems that protect the business from evolving fraud threats.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into machine learning problems
  • Conduct data engineering, feature engineering, model training, and deployment
  • Identify issues and propose effective solutions through regular analysis
  • Develop ML platforms and tools to streamline workflows
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to apply models to real business problems
  • Deliver end-to-end ML solutions that drive measurable business impact

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience with ML libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Experience in payment risk or international e-commerce risk is a plus
  • Experience applying LLMs to real-time risk management is a plus
