About the Role
The Staff Data Scientist Engineering role is based in Singapore and involves leading and mentoring data science initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights and scalable solutions. This position requires ownership from day one, analytical rigor, and the ability to leverage AI to solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to the data science team, resolving complex problems and setting long-term strategic direction
  • Serve as a strategic thought leader, partnering with cross-functional teams to inform and influence investment and product strategy
  • Apply quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, and visualization to develop actionable insights and strategies
  • Identify, track, and measure success of product efforts through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring key product metrics
  • Translate analytical insights into scalable models, tools, and data foundations

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of industry experience and an advanced degree (PhD or MS) in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Engineering, Sciences, Computer Science, or Economics
  • Proven ability to communicate analysis results to leadership and cross-functional teams to influence strategy
  • Technical mentorship experience in machine learning and experimentation in an industry setting
  • Expertise in data querying (e.g., SQL), scripting (e.g., Python), and statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in schema design and dimensional data modeling
  • Background in technology, financial services, or high-growth environments
