Summary
The Engineering Manager will lead and recruit a high-performing team of engineers, driving the creation of innovative software solutions that make a positive impact on customers’ daily lives. This role requires leadership in a fast-paced, agile environment, balancing strategic direction with hands-on problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performance engineers, maximizing team impact
  • Lead development initiatives and take ownership of key product features
  • Define and refine development processes as the team scales
  • Work in an agile, small team environment within a rapidly growing Cloud company
  • Collaborate with all product stakeholders to deliver multiple features successfully
  • Serve as a trusted partner to senior management for decision-making, alignment, and implementation
  • Foster accountability, motivation, and a culture of excellence within the team

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of software engineering management experience using agile methodologies
  • 10+ years of commercial software development experience in object-oriented languages such as Java or C#
  • Hands-on experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and front-end frameworks (React, Vue.js)
  • Proven ability to hire, mentor, and lead a team to success
  • Strong problem-solving skills, tenacity, and technical expertise
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • High integrity, honesty, and work ethic consistent with PBC values
