Summary
The Machine Learning Engineer will design, implement, and manage complex ML algorithms and systems, focusing on computer vision and other data modalities. The role involves acquiring ground truth data, integrating and testing algorithms, performing literature reviews, analyzing field test data, and developing advanced solutions for operational environments. Experience or interest in Large Language Models (LLM), audio analysis, computer vision, and advanced reasoning is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, fine-tune, train, and optimize computer vision algorithms for tasks such as object detection and tracking
  • Utilize MLOps tools to ensure reproducible experiments, efficient data management, and streamlined workflows
  • Write robust, efficient, and maintainable code for algorithm deployment
  • Conduct rigorous experiments and evaluations to assess model effectiveness and efficiency
  • Stay current with machine learning research to integrate new techniques and methodologies
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to transition algorithms to production on cloud, on-premises, or real-time embedded systems
  • Support mission-critical applications for National Security clients

Skills and Requirements

  • U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED with eligibility for U.S. Security Clearance
  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Aerospace, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
  • Proven experience applying computer vision models, frameworks, and libraries, including implementation and fine-tuning
  • Demonstrated ability to test and validate AI technologies in real-world environments
  • Proficiency in Python programming
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments
  • Experience using MLOps tools such as Airflow, MLFlow, or AimStack
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients
  • Understanding of Department of Defense requirements and standards is a plus
