Summary
The AI Engineering Manager / Solutions Architect will lead the design, development, and deployment of AI and machine learning applications, providing technical leadership and consulting expertise. This role combines hands-on technical skills with team leadership to deliver scalable, high-performance AI solutions across client engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI and machine learning architectures to support client solutions
  • Lead client engagements, translating business priorities into technical solutions
  • Develop design patterns, infrastructure, and engineering resources for AI applications
  • Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, DevOps, project managers, and industry experts to build robust AI platforms
  • Maintain platform-agnostic solutions leveraging cloud, on-prem, and high-performance computing environments
  • Design and support data architecture, pipelines, and database schemas (SQL, NoSQL, Graph)
  • Participate in architectural and deployment discussions to ensure scalability, security, and high availability
  • Define and lead technology proof-of-concepts to validate new solutions
  • Mentor and guide junior technical team members, promoting best practices and professional development

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related) or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years in data engineering, data science, software engineering, or MLOps with AI/ML deployment experience
  • 6+ years designing cloud solutions and supporting production projects (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • 6+ years programming experience (Python, SQL, Linux Shell/CLI, Powershell)
  • 4+ years managing technical teams and delivering complex projects
  • 4+ years in DevOps with CI/CD tools (Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Airflow, Terraform, Jenkins)
  • 4+ years with database development and ETL/ELT pipelines (relational, NoSQL, Neo4j)
  • 3+ years deploying and optimizing applications with Kubernetes, Docker, TensorRT/Triton, RAPIDs, Kubeflow, MLflow, Kafka
  • Ability to travel ~10% and live within commuting distance to a Deloitte consulting office
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in a STEM field or related
  • AWS/Azure certifications (SysOps, DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect)
  • 2+ years experience with GPU computing (CUDA, OpenCL) and HPC systems
