Summary
The AI Data Engineer – Manager will lead data architecture and engineering delivery for AI/ML/GenAI solutions, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable data pipelines. The role blends hands-on technical leadership with delivery management, working closely with data science, ML engineering, and product teams to translate use cases into production-ready solutions while enforcing strong data governance and operational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end data architecture and engineering delivery for AI/ML/GenAI solutions
  • Design and operationalize data pipelines and modern data foundations to support LLM-powered applications (e.g., Claude, GPT/Codex, Gemini) including RAG, embeddings, and vector search
  • Manage onshore/offshore delivery teams, ensuring consistent engineering standards and measurable outcomes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business vision into technically feasible implementations
  • Select appropriate technologies and integrate with cloud and on-premises systems
  • Contribute to MLOps and LLMOps for operational deployment and management of AI models
  • Conduct research and develop scalable AI models in machine learning, NLP, and computer vision
  • Build tools for data ingestion, feature engineering, and distributed computing solutions
  • Audit AI tools, pipelines, and practices to ensure continuous improvement
  • Partner with security and risk teams to address ethical AI implementation and compliance
  • Advise leadership on AI trends, business impacts, and implementation best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 6+ years consulting experience leading delivery teams, including onshore/offshore coordination
  • 6+ years experience gathering non-functional requirements and defining application architecture frameworks
  • 5+ years working in AI environments with full system development lifecycle implementation
  • 5+ years translating requirements into client-ready design documents
  • Strong understanding of software application architecture, design, and delivery
  • Experience with AI/ML tools, frameworks, and infrastructure
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder collaboration skills
