A global technology, defence, and engineering organization is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Assistant Manager to support its Cloud & Data Centre Solutions line of business. The organization leverages technology and innovation to solve real-world problems across aerospace, smart cities, defence, and public security segments. It operates mission-critical facilities including data centers, disaster recovery, and business continuity sites, delivering end-to-end cloud management, services, and solutions.

Summary
The Cloud Infrastructure Assistant Manager will plan, execute, monitor, and control technical aspects of cloud and infrastructure projects. This role includes managing system/network setup or upgrades, designing end-to-end solutions, leading junior engineers, and producing project documentation while resolving technical issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, monitor, and control technical aspects of projects
  • Manage or participate in new setup or upgrade of system/network infrastructure projects
  • Design and solution end-to-end infrastructure requirements
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior engineers on project tasks and skill development
  • Produce project documentation and reports
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues

Qualifications

  • Experience with Windows Server OS, Unix/Linux OS in virtualized environments
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with virtualization and hypervisors; Nutanix platform preferred
  • NCP/NCM certification is a plus
  • Strong understanding of VPNs, firewalls, and other security appliances
  • Knowledge of network switches and routers
  • Familiarity with container technologies and platforms
  • Deep understanding of IT system infrastructure components
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proactive, dynamic, and analytical with conceptual thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong interpersonal skills
