Summary
The Cloud Engineering Lead will architect, deliver, and oversee secure, scalable, and cost-efficient AWS cloud solutions while leading a team of engineers. This hands-on leadership role requires expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and AWS services, along with the ability to align cloud capabilities with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of AWS cloud solutions ensuring security, scalability, and efficiency
  • Mentor and guide engineers, fostering technical excellence, collaboration, and DevOps best practices
  • Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring alignment and satisfaction
  • Develop solutions that meet security, compliance, and governance requirements
  • Identify opportunities to enhance productivity, reliability, and scalability of cloud operations
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform, Terraform Enterprise, GitLab CI/CD, and Ansible
  • Enhance automation frameworks using Lambda, Step Functions, SSM Documents, Bash, PowerShell scripts
  • Continuously monitor and improve operational efficiency through DevOps automation and tooling

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Proven ability to lead teams, mentor engineers, and manage complex projects
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts
  • Deep expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, Step Functions, etc.); AWS certification advantageous
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, and scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
  • Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and compliance standards (CIS Benchmarks, AWS Foundational Security Best Practices)
