Summary
The Director of Data Strategy & Governance will lead the strategic direction of data initiatives, shape decision-making frameworks, and foster innovation across the organization. This role combines executive leadership, thought leadership in data governance, and hands-on experience in advanced analytics and cloud data solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the strategic direction of data initiatives and enhance decision-making frameworks
  • Establish a vision for business growth, innovation, and data strategy
  • Mentor and develop future leaders within the organization
  • Maintain executive client relationships and engagement
  • Lead transformative projects influencing data strategy, governance, and analytics
  • Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and collaboration
  • Collaborate across departments to enhance productivity and effectiveness
  • Uphold professional standards, technical guidelines, and industry best practices in data management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data strategy, governance, or analytics leadership
  • Proven leadership in data-driven strategy and business transformation
  • Hands-on experience with modern cloud data architectures and integration patterns
  • Knowledge of big data engineering, advanced analytics solutions, and AI/ML modeling
  • Experience in strategy, transformation projects, and business development

  • AWS Certified Data Analytics / Solutions Architect
  • Azure Data Engineer / Solutions Architect
  • Google Professional Data Engineer
  • DAMA CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional)
  • Informatica Certified Professional
  • Alation Certified Data Catalog Professional
  • Collibra Certified Ranger/Steward/Expert
  • SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP Master Data Governance (MDG)
  • SnowPro Core / SnowPro Advanced
  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer / Data Analyst / ML
