Summary
The Distinguished Architect – Applied AI will define and implement enterprise-wide AI architectures, enabling scalable, secure, and reusable technology solutions. The role requires deep technical expertise in applied AI, generative AI, and modern software architecture, combined with strong leadership and collaboration skills to influence business and technology outcomes across a complex enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement reference architectures for applied AI across the enterprise
  • Collaborate with technology and business partners to optimize systems and adopt AI responsibly
  • Develop roadmaps, standards, best practices, and starter code to accelerate AI initiatives
  • Evaluate market trends, conduct buy vs. build analysis, and assess business impact
  • Create AI patterns promoting reuse, reducing costs, managing risks, and improving speed to market
  • Mentor and coach architects and delivery teams on north star architectures, POCs, and AI solutions
  • Ensure all non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, availability, security) are met
  • Strategize long-term architectural plans for complex technology environments
  • Build strong relationships, influence key stakeholders, and drive enterprise-level initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of relevant experience, including 10+ years in architecture
  • 10+ years designing and implementing complex enterprise solutions
  • Recognized technical leader with expertise in applied AI
  • Hands-on experience with GenAI models, AI pipelines, model fine-tuning, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, vector stores, AI frameworks (e.g., Langchain), and AI agents (e.g., LangGraph)
  • Experience with architectural methodologies, governance, design patterns, and best practices
  • Strong collaboration, coaching, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Substantial experience in requirements analysis, estimation, system design, and testing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Agile or SAFe methodologies
  • Public cloud expertise
  • Master’s or PhD degree
