Data Analytics – Support – Assistant Manager

This role involves supporting the deployment of world-class marketing analytics capabilities to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Global Wholesale Banking division. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating actionable customer insights to improve key business outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Apply data and advanced analytics to enhance the relevance of marketing opportunities for customers and front-line channels.
• Conduct data discovery and exploration to identify emerging trends and business growth opportunities.
• Develop and manage predictive models, campaign reporting, analysis, and derivation of key customer metrics.
• Develop and execute marketing campaigns and event triggers to support customer acquisition, cross-selling, upselling, and account activation goals within the Global Wholesale Banking business.
• Provide ongoing support to segment and product management in customer profiling and segmentation, as well as conducting tactical mining to support their business initiatives.
• Regularly interact with product and segment managers to understand their business objectives and proactively recommend how analytics can help achieve their goals.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders in campaign design and promote automated solutions for execution efficiency.
• Work with the Data Engineering team to define key data pipelines required to support the business.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to develop predictive and recommendation engines for overall business acquisition, cross-sell, and usage strategies.

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Competencies)

General Knowledge & Experience

• At least 4 years of experience in a data analytics role.
• Understanding of corporate banking, insurance, and financial services is preferred.

Programming & Data

• Exposure to database, analytical marketing, or campaign management functions.
• Ability to analyze, identify, visualize, and describe key trends within large datasets.
• Proficiency in dashboard building, statistical modeling, and visualization.
• Ideally has prior experience with Campaign Management (Unica / SAS / Adobe) and Direct Marketing experiment design concepts.
• Some prior exposure to analytical software tools such as Python/SAS, leading database environments (e.g., Oracle / Teradata / Cloudera Hadoop / SQL), reporting tools (e.g., Power BI / Tableau), and/or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms (e.g., Siebel / Pega / Salesforce).
• Experience in tracking digital marketing activities, preferably with Adobe or Google Analytics.

Communication & Soft Skills

• Curiosity and a passion for understanding “why?”.
• Creativity to identify possibilities within data and translate them into compelling stories, decisions, and actions for non-technical business users.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence the business to take action using data.
