Senior Cloud Architect (Azure)
As a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for pre-sales engagements, aligning services with the delivery team, and owning Azure Cloud Infrastructure technical customer engagements. This includes architectural design sessions, specific implementation projects, and pilots. You will be expected to lead deep technical architecture discussions with senior customer executives, Enterprise Architects, and IT Management.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop modernization roadmaps by applying technical knowledge and customer insights.
Design solutions that meet business and IT needs, ensuring technical viability and successful deployments.
Orchestrate key resources and infuse key Infrastructure technologies (e.g., Windows and Linux IaaS, Security, Networking, etc.).
Ensure solutions exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, reusability, and reliability.
Assess customer Azure platform knowledge and overall cloud readiness during pre-sales engagements.
Apply Azure Cloud Adoption Framework, Design Patterns, and Well-Architected Framework to solution design.
Collaborate with other Cloud Solution Architects to develop complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions on Azure.
Provide solution architecture design sizing and work with partners as needed.
Work with the implementation team to handhold them with solution design and transition the agreed solution to the delivery architect.
Maintain technical skills, knowledge of market trends, and competitive insights.
Collaborate and share with the technical community.
Work with the Head of Cloud to create new service offerings and contribute to service descriptions and scope of work.
Optimize existing offerings with updates to service descriptions and scope of work.
Be an Azure Platform evangelist for customers and internal communities, and mentor new team members.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent IT experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in consultative/complex technical sales, deployment projects, architecture, design, and implementation.
Proven ability to solve customer problems through cloud technologies.
Strong collaborative skills, conflict resolution abilities, and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Experience leading and influencing virtual teams to ensure successful project implementation.
Effective presentation skills for both large and small audiences.
Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management.
Azure Solution Expert certification.
Deep domain expertise in cloud infrastructure solutions (e.g., Windows and Linux IaaS, BCDR, Security, Management, Storage, Networking, OSS).
Expert knowledge in Containers and Policy-as-Code, IaC is advantageous.
Knowledge of GCC presales working knowledge is advantageous.
Knowledge of other cloud platforms is advantageous.
Azure Sentinel knowledge and real-world experience are advantageous.
