Job Description

IT Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Software Development: Design, develop, and implement high-quality software applications using industry-standard programming languages and frameworks.
• Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing to identify and resolve defects, ensuring optimal application performance.
• Deployment and Maintenance: Deploy applications to production environments and provide ongoing maintenance and support.
• Collaboration: Work closely with team members, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
• Problem-Solving: Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and propose innovative solutions.
• Documentation: Create clear and concise documentation for software applications, including user manuals and technical specifications.
• Training and Support: Provide training to end-users on new applications and offer ongoing support as needed.
• Third-Party Integration: Implement and integrate third-party solutions, working with procurement to manage contracts and support.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++).
• Familiarity with web development technologies (e.g., Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience with database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of¹ a team.
• A passion for technology and a desire to learn new skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Internship or project experience in software development.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
