Cyber Security Engineer
Make a Significant Impact
As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our critical infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:
Strategic Planning and Delivery:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to source, plan, and execute infrastructure security projects.
Lead the implementation and management of essential security tools such as vulnerability assessment (VA) tools, privileged identity and access management (PIAM) solutions, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and secure remote access tools.
Optimize security operations through automation and innovative solutions.
Security Enhancement and Compliance:
Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance security controls, efficiency, and user experience.
Ensure strict adherence to industry best practices, regulatory standards (e.g., Singapore Cybersecurity Act 2018, ISO 27001), and internal compliance requirements.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for security infrastructure, procedures, and incident response plans.
Technical Expertise and Problem-Solving:
Leverage deep technical expertise in network security, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and security protocols.
Implement and manage a range of security technologies, including firewalls, vulnerability assessment tools, web and database security solutions, SIEM, PIAM, Ansible, and endpoint security.
Stay abreast of emerging threats and vulnerabilities, and proactively implement countermeasures.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical lead or project management role within the cybersecurity domain
Strong understanding of security principles, network protocols, and system administration (Linux and Windows)
Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, encryption)
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible)
Knowledge of cloud security and DevOps practices is a plus
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
