Cyber Security Engineer

Make a Significant Impact

As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our critical infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Planning and Delivery:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to source, plan, and execute infrastructure security projects.
  • Lead the implementation and management of essential security tools such as vulnerability assessment (VA) tools, privileged identity and access management (PIAM) solutions, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and secure remote access tools.
  • Optimize security operations through automation and innovative solutions.

• Security Enhancement and Compliance:

  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance security controls, efficiency, and user experience.
  • Ensure strict adherence to industry best practices, regulatory standards (e.g., Singapore Cybersecurity Act 2018, ISO 27001), and internal compliance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for security infrastructure, procedures, and incident response plans.

• Technical Expertise and Problem-Solving:

  • Leverage deep technical expertise in network security, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and security protocols.
  • Implement and manage a range of security technologies, including firewalls, vulnerability assessment tools, web and database security solutions, SIEM, PIAM, Ansible, and endpoint security.
  • Stay abreast of emerging threats and vulnerabilities, and proactively implement countermeasures.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical lead or project management role within the cybersecurity domain
• Strong understanding of security principles, network protocols, and system administration (Linux and Windows)
• Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, encryption)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible)
• Knowledge of cloud security and DevOps practices is a plus
• Possess relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA)
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
