Role Summary
As a Data Engineer in the Video Architecture team, you will contribute to building cutting-edge data systems that power the world’s largest video streaming platforms. You will work on large-scale networks, designing and maintaining data pipelines to support video processing, transcoding, and streaming services. Your work will have a direct impact on billions of users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Architecture: Design and implement data systems and ETL pipelines for efficient processing and transformation of both large and small data.
• Data Pipeline Management: Build and maintain reliable data pipelines that move and transform data at scale.
• Process Improvements: Automate manual processes and optimize data quality and service level agreement (SLA) management.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with teams across CDN, Video Understanding, Video Transcoding, Live Streaming, and Real-Time Communication to integrate systems and drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience in software/system engineering.
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: C, C++, Java, Python, or Go.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining custom ETL/data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with data processing tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive) and algorithms (e.g., MapReduce, Flume).
  • Experience troubleshooting in large-scale distributed systems.
