Role Summary
As a Senior Data Scientist in the Global E-Commerce division, you will focus on optimizing the international e-commerce supply chain and logistics systems. Your work will apply machine learning and statistical methods to improve merchant and supply chain management, enabling business growth and enhancing consumer experience. You will also contribute to data-driven decision-making in logistics strategies, including forecasting and simulation.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Science & Analytics: Conduct advanced analytics for e-commerce supply chain and logistics, applying the latest machine learning and statistical methods.
• Optimization: Work alongside development, product, and operations teams to optimize logistics functionalities using statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Impact Analysis: Analyze and deconstruct the impact of logistics strategies, contributing to business decision-making and logistics performance.
• Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with teams to drive improvements and enhancements across the logistics network.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data mining, machine learning, or operational research.
  • Proficiency in SQL, R/Python, and data analysis/modeling. Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and Flink is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of data analytics, mining techniques, machine learning, and optimization algorithms, along with a solid understanding of deep learning principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to learn quickly and collaborate effectively.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in supply chain or logistics, particularly in big data or algorithm engineering.
