Role Summary
As a Data Scientist in the Measurement team, you will apply your expertise in economics, statistics, and data analysis to solve business problems and measure the impact of strategies and policies. You will collaborate with various business teams to develop frameworks for understanding and predicting the effects of decisions on product, marketing, and business operations, especially in the context of ecommerce.

Key Responsibilities

• Impact Evaluation: Develop frameworks to evaluate the impact of various policies and strategies using causal inference, economic modeling, and experimentation.
• Predictive Analysis: Forecast the long-term impact of business actions and optimize strategies accordingly.
• Business Strategy Optimization: Identify key mechanisms that increase the impact of business actions, such as improving traffic/cost allocation.
• Ecosystem Improvement: Enhance the ecommerce ecosystem, including seller growth, product and content supply, governance, and user growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements:
  • Master’s degree or higher in economics, statistics, operations research, finance, quantitative marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in solving business problems using economic and data-driven techniques.
  • Proficiency in R, Python, and SQL, along with strong writing and presentation skills.
  • Over 3 years of data analysis experience, preferably in a large tech company.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong writing and presenting skills.
  • Experience in applied economics, including areas like causal analysis, predictive modeling, behavioral economics, and financial economics.
