The team is pioneering new approaches to integrating intelligence across the client PC portfolio, collaborating with leading AI technology firms, academic institutions, industry experts, and skilled engineers to deliver groundbreaking solutions that redefine user experiences.

The organization is seeking a Senior Advisor Data Scientist to join its Client Solutions Group (CSG) Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Advanced Architectures Team in the Singapore Design Center. This role offers the opportunity to work with a team of data scientists and engineers on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions across the client devices portfolio, contributing directly to the organization’s CTO AI initiatives.

What You’ll Achieve
As a Senior Advisor Data Scientist on the CSG CTO Advanced Architectures team, you will gain hands-on experience in applied data science by leveraging partnerships with established universities and industry contacts. You’ll be responsible for driving AI initiatives, working alongside a team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, data engineers, and embedded software engineers to develop and deploy AI-enabled solutions for millions of end users.

You Will:

  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate and deploy AI applications on client devices with backend cloud integration.
  • Work across a diverse set of telemetry collection and deployment environments, including client endpoint OSes, real-time operating systems, and embedded firmware ecosystems.
  • Develop AI/ML software solutions optimized for client silicon, utilizing deep knowledge of the client device ecosystem.
  • Conduct experiments to train, tune, and optimize Machine Learning/Deep Learning models for deployment onto client devices.
  • Translate business questions into compelling use cases, providing insights and storytelling through data, advocating for data-driven strategies in business and technical decisions.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in AI/ML, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields with a significant quantitative component; minimum of Bachelor’s + 8 years, MS + 5 years, or Ph.D. + 2 years of experience.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft (MS) Windows OS, including client Software Development Kits (SDKs), MS DirectML, WinML, MS Graph, and embedded device development for at least one RTOS.
  • Advanced knowledge of AI/ML algorithms, particularly in Generative AI, and optimization techniques for resource-constrained environments; proficient in deep learning libraries and runtimes such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and TensorRT.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex analytical methods to both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience working in software development or other cross-functional teams, with demonstrated mentorship and coaching abilities.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with cloud-based applications, specifically in Azure, and leading small teams.
  • Familiarity with Open Neural Network Exchange (ONNX) models, ONNX runtime (ORT), and experience with hardware vendor toolchains such as Intel OpenVino, Qualcomm QNN, NVIDIA CUDA, or AMD Ryzen AI Software.
