Job Description
As a Data Engineer, you will support the maintenance and development of the organization’s data products. You will work closely with various divisions to assist them in leveraging data for strategy formulation, policy implementation, and decision-making. This role involves engaging in data science, business intelligence, and data architecture to contribute to the creation of interactive dashboards, optimize data pipelines, and ensure robust data governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the daily operations of the data platform (handling error notifications, job monitoring & recovery, testing data pipelines).
• Investigate and resolve technical issues related to data setups (e.g., connectivity failures, service outages).
• Document changes to the data setup (e.g., data sources, pipelines).
• Collaborate with the infrastructure team on data-related tasks.
• Support cloud transformation efforts for data products.
• Provide technical support to business users and assist with technical requirements.
• Develop reports to monitor platform usage, performance, and security.
• Create unit tests and mockup data for system improvements.
• Optimize performance and ensure adherence to data management policies.
• Set up and maintain DevOps pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
• 1-3 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Science, or IT Infrastructure (fresh graduates are welcome).
• Proficient in SQL scripting for data analysis and transformation.
• Ability to work under time constraints while maintaining attention to detail.
• Self-sufficient with the ability to work independently.
• Singaporean nationality.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Tableau (dashboards or server administration).
• Experience in IT infrastructure (server, database, and network).
• Certification in MS SQL Server or Talend administration.
• Proficiency in Python and PowerShell.
• Experience with AWS or cloud services.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools like SHIP-HATS.
• Experience in Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with agile methodologies and dashboard UX design.
