Job Description
The Data Scientist in the Data and Artificial Intelligence Platforms (DAIP) team will support the design, development, and implementation of data science products that benefit multiple government agencies. Through platforms like DataHive and the Fraud Detection Platform (FDP), DAIP focuses on improving efficiency, data quality, and interagency collaboration. As a Data Scientist, you will be tasked with developing data-driven solutions across key areas like citizen engagement, healthcare, and transport, creating products that help solve pressing issues in public service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Data Insight Extraction: Improve service delivery and policy-making by extracting insights from government datasets.
Product Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to build, test, and deploy data solutions.
Production-Ready Code: Write code for production-level quality and work with engineers to deploy models.
Knowledge Sharing: Engage in continuous learning, sharing insights and knowledge within a cross-functional team.
Mentorship: For senior data scientists, help set best practices, mentor team members, and assist with recruitment efforts.
