Job Description
In the role of Product Engineer within the Operations Management team, you will join an agile product team tasked with designing and building innovative digital solutions to streamline operational workflows essential to national security. Your work will focus on transforming operational processes, enhancing decision-making, and supporting mission success. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to identify business needs and deliver impactful, user-centered solutions. This role offers challenges in diverse environments, as well as the opportunity to continuously adapt to new business and technological developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and design user-centric solutions.
- Design, develop, and deploy web applications using full-stack technologies, including frameworks like React and Spring Boot, to optimize workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
- Develop HTTP APIs for backend communication and seamless integration with downstream APIs.
- Write and maintain robust unit, functional, and end-to-end tests to ensure reliable software performance.
- Work within a cross-functional team that includes product managers, analysts, designers, and engineers.
- Participate in forward deployment to operations, building domain knowledge and co-creating technology solutions that support national security objectives.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, and JavaScript.
- Experience with at least one of the following frameworks: React, Spring Boot.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Familiarity with database concepts, queries, and optimization techniques.
- Understanding of DevOps practices, such as CI/CD and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments.
